The description about bingbot
Bing is a web search engine from Microsoft (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search).
Bing allows webmasters to manage the web crawling status of their own websites through Bing Webmaster Center.
Bing operates three crawlers today:
- bingbot: Microsoft standard crawler and handles most of crawling needs each day
- adidxbot: is adCenter crawler responsible for crawling ads and following through to websites from those ads for quality control.
- msnbot: handles some multimedia crawling duties for us currently, though will retire soon.
